One of the biggest question marks throughout the 2019 offseason for the Philadelphia Eagles was whether Jason Peters was going to be back or not. After suffering multiple injuries throughout the year, Jason Peters was considered to be on the roster bubble this year. His original contract had him on the books with a significantly large cap hit of over $10 million.
After assuming that Peters wouldn’t restructure, as he’s declined to do so in the past, it was becoming quite realistic that he could be released. Fortunately, Peters was open to helping the Eagles out financially this year.
