JaCorey Shepherd’s Injury Not the End of the World For Philadelphia Eagles

After trading Brandon Boykin a little over a week ago to the Pittsburgh Steelers, it seemed like JaCorey Shepherd was the favorite to take Boykin’s vacant slot cornerback position for the Philadelphia Eagles. A rookie sixth-round pick out of Kansas, Shepherd had impressed the coaching staff in OTAs and the first week of training camp. However, after hurting his knee yesterday in the Eagles’ second open practice at Lincoln Financial Field, his status for the season is up in the air. With the preseason and regular season rapidly approaching, finding Shepherd’s replacement would be top priority if his injury causes him to miss extended time.
