The Philadelphia Eagles suffered one season-ending injury to a player already, and right now they’re in danger of losing a second. Rookie cornerback JaCorey Shepherd was carted off the field today with an apparent knee injury. While there won’t be any definitive answers until tomorrow, the early rumor from beat writer Les Bowen is that it’s an ACL injury. Right now it’s too early to freak out, but the Eagles have to pray that Shepherd dodged a bullet here.
Normally sixth-round draft picks don’t drum up this kind of concern, but Shepherd is a special case.
