Shortly after signing Rick Lovato to a new deal, it was assumed that kicker Jake Elliott would be next in line. That would ultimately be the case, with the now-franchise kicker signing a five-year extension with the Eagles on Wednesday afternoon.
Elliott has kicked all 14 field goal attempts through the upright this year, missing two extra point attempts in the process.
He has been the Eagles kicker since September 2017, where the undrafted rookie was signed off of Cincinnati’s practice squad. It didn’t take him long to make an impact, either. With the game on the line, Elliott drilled a 61-yard field goal to send the Eagles to a win over the Giants, as well as setting a new franchise-record.
