Well, that didn’t last long.
Just two games into his third tenure as an Eagle, the Birds have waived wide receiver Jordan Matthews, per an official announcement from the team.
Matthews did record 3 receptions for 27-yards against the Seahawks, but his release is a little puzzling. It could be a sign that Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor are both close to returning to action, and an intent to keep Greg Ward Jr. has sent Matthews to the bottom of the pecking order, or it could mean the return of Cre’Von LeBlanc, although CB depth is plentiful.
