Believe it or not, the Philadelphia Eagles have a unique Turkey Day history.
Thanksgiving is here, and since the Philadelphia Eagles don’t have a game to play, let’s look at their history on the holiday.
Turkey Day is a day of the three American F’s: food, family, and of course football. As is the tradition in the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions are playing their respective games today with the now annual third game on the holiday being postponed to Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles won’t be playing football during the 2020 edition of Turkey Day but have enjoyed the luxury of playing on the day a total of six times.
