Hayes: Talking points on Eagles' first game

From Wentz it came: Rookie quarterback Carson Wentz started out 4-for-5 for 57 yards with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Matthews, who dropped the first pass of the game. He was solid throughout, completing a fourth-down pass to Zach Ertz and a subsequent 35-yard touchdown to Nelson Agholor. Wentz completed 22 of 37 passes for 278 yards with two touchdowns and, most significantly, no interceptions. His passer rating was 101.0.

Dougie Fresh: There were no glaring glitches in Doug Pederson's first game as a head coach since piloting the Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers in 2008. Pederson's call to go for it on fourth-and-4 from the Browns' 40 set up 35-yard TD pass on the next play, delighting the crowd (and viewers).
