Halftime Report: Lions Up 24-7

The Eagles entered the second quarter trailing 7-0, but with possession of the ball on the Lions’ 1-yard-line on 2nd down that deficit was quickly wiped out. Two plays into the second quarter, Mark Sanchez hooked up with Brent Celek on a short pass near the right pylon. The veteran tight end overpowered a would-be tackler and dove across the plane of the end zone to tie the game up at seven apiece.

On the ensuing drive, the Lions marched down the field with a methodical 12-play, 80-yard drive that took up six-and-a-half minutes of game time, taking a 14-7 lead.
