Turning Defense Into Offense… Again
After parlaying a DeMeco Ryans interception into a 78-yard touchdown drive in the first quarter, the Eagles were able to score off another turnover on the Giants’ first possession of the second quarter. This time, though, the offense didn’t even need to foot onto the field, as cornerback Nolan Carroll jumped in front of a screen pass intended for Dwayne Harris and took the ball 17 yards for a touchdown, putting Philadelphia up 14-7 with 12:26 left in the quarter.
