Giants soar with Beckham; Eagles answer with Matthews and Huff

Entering the 2014 draft, the Eagles needed help at wide receiver. They had released DeSean Jackson and Jason Avant, and they scouted a class considered to be one of the deepest ever at the position.

Among the big names in that draft, one player topped Chip Kelly's list: Odell Beckham Jr. Before Beckham was named offensive rookie of the year with the New York Giants last year, he was a player Kelly fancied. Kelly said this past March that he considered Beckham "the best player in the draft."

Beckham went No. 12 overall to the Giants, and the Eagles owned the No.
