Former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Stephen Tulloch will announce his retirement Thursday. The Detroit Lions broke the news on their official website.
Tulloch signed a one-year contract with the Eagles last summer after spending five seasons with the Lions. Tulloch and Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, the former head coach of the Lions, were very familiar with one another dating back to the three seasons they spent together in Detroit. But despite being a highly productive player with Schwartz in Detroit, Tulloch recorded just seven tackles in 2016.
Tulloch played a total of 11 seasons in the NFL.
