Former Eagles defensive end signs with Falcons

The former Eagles defensive end officially signed with the Falcons on Monday morning. Atlanta had an open roster spot after placing starting safety Keanu Neal on injured reserve.

On one hand, it’s easy to be happy for Means. The soon-to-be 28-year-old pass rusher was buried on depth chart in Philadelphia. He definitely deserves to be on a 53-man roster.

On the other hand, it’s sad to know that Means won’t be coming back. There was some thought he might return to the Eagles after Week 1 since, as a vested veteran, his contract would no longer be guaranteed for the full season.
