Chip Kelly isn't a racist, as LeSean McCoy has implied. He doesn't care if you're black, white, brown, yellow or rainbow, as long as you're a conformist.
The Eagles coach wants like-minded individuals who behave in a manner that is accepted by most on the team and especially Kelly.
If that means that an African American wide receiver who is prone to emotional outbursts has to go, then so be it. If that means that a white offensive lineman who wants a new contract has to be publicly taunted, then so be it.
But when the two most notably discarded players are black and productive at the time of their departures; when the Eagles roster was the whitest in the NFL last season and it wasn't even close; when a black ex-assistant points out that the coaching staff is also the whitest; and when a white player who publicly used a racial slur remains on the team, McCoy's stand is at least understandable.
