Well deserved.
Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Fletcher Cox has officially been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 5 of the 2015 NFL season. This is the first time in his career he's earned this award.
This award hardly comes as a surprise. Cox played like a beast in Philadelphia's 39-17 win over the New Orleans Saints. The 24-year-old defensive lineman finished with three sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He became the first Eagles players to ever do that, and he became the first NFL player to do that since 2007.
