There are no sweeping conclusions to be made from a distant view of one Organized Team Activity. What we can bring you after the first open practice of the Eagles' spring session are simple, humble observations.
We know the depth chart for Thursday's practice will look much different than the one with which the Eagles will begin the regular season, but that doesn't make today's rotation insignificant. In the secondary, for instance, where two starting jobs remain completely up for grabs, Nolan Carroll received the first shot at the cornerback spot not occupied by Byron Maxwell while veteran special teams standout Chris Maragos worked with the first-team defense at safety opposite Malcolm Jenkins.
