ATLANTA -– Tight end Zach Ertz emerged from Monday night’s season-opening loss in Atlanta healthy. And that’s very, very good news.
After missing the last few weeks of the summer with a core muscle injury that required surgery, Ertz returned to the field on Monday night and had three catches for 46 yards in the 26-24 loss to Atlanta. He was targeted eight times and felt he was “open a lot of the game.”
“The ball didn’t come my way because we had other guys making plays and I thought they did an unbelievable job,” Ertz said.
