1) Jordan Matthews took a big hit to the head by Falcons safety William Moore in the third quarter of Monday’s loss. It was the type of hit that could cause an observer to shudder at the replay because of the possible ramifications, which Matthews avoided. He stood up and finished the game. The hit did not draw a penalty flag, although it did draw a $23,152 fine because Moore used the crown of his helmet for the hit, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
“I always say if I can pop up quick and feel good, that I’ll keep playing,” Matthews said.
