The NFL likely won’t announce the official 2018 NFL regular season schedule until April but we already know the Philadelphia Eagles will play in the annual kickoff game since they are the defending Super Bowl champions.
According to Howard Eskin, the Eagles’ opponent in that game on Thursday, September 6 will be none other than the Minnesota Vikings. That’s right, it’s a rematch of the 2018 NFC Championship Game, which the Eagles won by a final score of 38 to 7.
This matchup is the obvious choice for the NFL.
