The Philadelphia Eagles waived two players from their roster on the day before everyone is set to report to the NovaCare Complex for training camp. Wide receiver Marquess Wilson and cornerback Randall Goforth are no longer part of the team, according to an official announcement.
The Eagles’ roster now stands at 87 players, which is three shy of the 90-man offseason limit.
Wilson was signed to a futures contract back in January. I thought he had a chance to make the team as a fifth or sixth receiver but clearly that isn’t the case.
