The Philadelphia Eagles waived tight end Adam Zaruba off their injured reserve list with an injury settlement on Saturday afternoon, according to an official announcement from the team.
Zaruba suffered a serious injury two weeks ago during an Eagles training camp practice. The 27-year-old had to be carted off the field.
The Eagles waived/injured Zaruba last Sunday in order to make room for camp body Gannon Sinclair on the 90-man roster. After going through waivers unclaimed, Zaruba reverted to the Eagles’ injured reserve list. The injury settlement means that Zaruba is no longer under the Eagles’ control and is free to sign with any team.
