The Philadelphia Eagles have waived running back Matthew Tucker, according to a report from ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan. Tucker was officially waived with a non-football injury designation.
Tucker originally signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He was waived in final cuts before being kept around on the practice squad. He was eventually promoted to the 53-man roster and was active for two games. Tucker spent the entire 2014 season on Philadelphia's practice squad. Tucker looked decent in preseason with the Eagles the past two summers but the team is apparently ready to move on.
