The Philadelphia Eagles officially waived five players on Sunday evening: wide receiver Shelton Gibson, wide receiver Marcus Green, defensive end Daeshon Hall, defensive tackle Albert Huggins, and cornerback/returner Tremon Smith.
These cuts come several days after the Eagles parted ways with Khalil Tate, Trevor Williams, and Keegan Render. The roster is now down to 82 players (plus international exemption Matt Leo).
In a normal year, the Eagles would’ve been able to bring these players to camp and given them a shot to make the 53-man roster.
