The Philadelphia Eagles waived defensive back Mercy Maston, according to an official announcement from the team.
In truly devastating news, the Eagles’ 2019 season is already over. They might as well forfeit all their games at this point.
The Eagles originally signed Maston to a reserve/future contract back in January after first working him out on Christmas Eve. Here’s what we wrote about him at the time:
Maston, 26, played cornerback at Boise State before heading up north to play for the Edmonton Eskimos. He has 57 tackles and two interceptions in 19 games played.
