Nobody is calling for Bill Davis’ job this morning.
That was not so much the case around 9 p.m. Monday, when the Eagles were trailing the New York Giants and looking clueless –on both sides of the ball, but more acutely on defense.
Then DeMeco Ryans ripped loose an interception and the Monday Night Football game took an abrupt turn. By the middle of the fourth quarter of the Eagles’ gritty-if-not-pretty 27-7 victory, at least a third of the Lincoln Financial Field crowd was headed for home, and the Giants looked like they were ready to do the same, having surrendered first place in the NFC East to their bitter rivals.
