Eagles trade up in 4th round to draft San Diego State RB Donnel Pumphrey

The Eagles traded up in the fourth round to select San Diego State running back Donnel Pumphrey with the No. 132 overall pick in the NFL draft on Saturday.

Pumphrey is the leading rusher in division I-A history with 6,405 rushing yards over four years. He led the country with 2,133 rushing yards last season on 343 carries, earning second-team all-American honors. He also reached the end zone 17 times. He scored 62 rushing touchdowns in his career and averaged 6 yards per carry. He also had 99 career catches for 1,039 yards and five touchdowns.

The knock on Pumphrey is his size.
