The Florida State product is 5-foot-11 and 193 pounds and instantly upgrades the Eagles’ secondary; he will become a starting cornerback for the team. He has two years remaining on his contract.

Matthews, 25, has been the Eagles’ top receiver the past two seasons. He was a 2014 second-round pick who has 225 career catches, 2,673 career receiving yards, and 19 career touchdowns.
