WITH ZACH ERTZ sidelined for the entire preseason with a "core muscle" injury that required surgery, the Eagles are left for the remainder of training camp with two healthy returning tight ends, in ninth-year veteran Brent Celek and second-year Florida product Trey Burton.
Also in the equation is a trio of undrafted rookies: Eric Tomlinson, Andrew Gleichert and Justin Tukes, who will compete for the fourth-string tight end job.
"We have three guys in Celek, Ertz, and Trey that we feel really confident in, but we're really trying to figure out who that fourth guy is," said Eagles coach Chip Kelly, who revealed Ertz' situation yesterday.
