Super Bowl winning Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson will have the honor of throwing the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Phillies’ home opener at Citizens Bank Park this Thursday, April 5, according to an official announcement from the team.
The Phillies are playing the Miami Marlins with a 3:05 PM ET start time.
Pederson is obviously an excellent choice by the Phillies. In case you missed it, he played a huge role in the Eagles winning their first ever Super Bowl title. That’s a pretty big deal in Philadelphia.
