Eagles sign punter Donnie Jones to three-year contract extension

Donnie Jones agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Eagles that will keep the punter signed through 2019. Jones is the third special teams player to sign a three-year contract extension in 24 hours, joining Chris Maragos and Jon Dorenbos.

Jones, 36, is a 13-year pro who came to the Eagles in 2013. He set franchise records for net average (40.3) and gross average (45.3) in his Eagles career. He is averaging 45.2 yards per punt return this season.

Before coming to the Eagles, Jones played for the Seattle Seahawks, Miami Dolphins, St. Louis Rams, and Houston Texans.
