The Philadelphia Eagles signed free agent offensive tackle Tyreek Burwell and former Canadian Football League defensive back Mercy Maston to reserve/future contracts, according to an official announcement from the team.
To be clear, these players have not been signed to the active 53-man roster. These signings are being made for the 90-man offseason roster.
Burwell, who turns 27 in March, measures in at 6-6, 305 pounds. He originally entered the league as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft. Burwell has appeared in nine games over three seasons but has zero starts to his name.
