The Philadelphia Eagles signed veteran journeyman cornerback Parry Nickerson to their active roster on Friday, according to an official team announcement.
Nickerson was one of four tryout players at the Eagles’ mandatory minicamp. The others were wide receiver Griffin Hebert, wide receiver Brandon Smith (not to be confused with the Eagles linebacker and Penn State alumnus of the same name), and kicker BT Potter.
Nickerson, who turns 30 in October, was originally a sixth-round pick by the New York Jets in the 2018 NFL Draft. Since then, he’s spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and Miami Dolphins.
