The Eagles staved off possible postseason elimination with a 39-17 drubbing of the Saints on Sunday and moved to 2-3 on the season. They’re now only a game behind the 3-2 New York Giants (albeit with two divisional losses) in the NFC East and now get to host the Eli Mannings on Monday night. Here’s what we learned:
1. The Eagles still know how to beat bad teams. The Birds deserve credit for taking care of business when there were times, especially in the first half, when it looked as if they were determined to hand the game to an inferior opponent.
