Eagles running back Donnel Pumphrey tore his hamstring in practice on Wednesday, a “significant” injury that could put the rookie’s season in jeopardy. Coach Doug Pederson would not put a timetable on the injury, although it’s the type of injury that could land Pumphrey on injured reserve.

“We haven’t made that decision yet,” Pederson said. “We’re going to get some more information again on this one. But it’s significant.”

The injury occurred during a run play on scout team. After Pumphrey struggled in the preseason, the Eagles hoped to develop him during practices this season. This injury now makes that a challenge.
