The Philadelphia Eagles officially placed rookie DT Charles Walker on injured reserve Friday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.
Walker, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Oklahoma before securing this opportunity with Philadelphia a few weeks ago. The Eagles waived Walker with an injury designation on Thursday to make room for newly signed RB LeGarrette Blount.
During his college career at Oklahoma, Walker recorded 53 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, five pass defenses and one forced fumble over the course of three seasons and 21 total games.
