The Philadelphia Eagles are changing it up with their captains this year. Instead of naming five, like they usually do, the team will have eight captains. These players will get to wear the “C” logo on their jerseys, as seen in the picture above this article.
The eight Eagles captains for 2019:
Carson Wentz - Starting quarterback
Jason Kelce - Starting center
Fletcher Cox - Starting defensive tackle
Rodney McLeod - Starting safety
Duke Riley - Special teams player and rotational linebacker
Craig James - Special teams player and backup cornerback
OBSERVATIONS AND THOUGHTS
- Eight captains is a bit much!
