The Philadelphia Eagles are promoting assistant wide receivers coach Carson Walch — not to be confused with franchise quarterback Carson Wentz — to wide receivers coach, according to a report from former CFL/NFL player Davis Sanchez (hat tip to @igglesnut)
The Eagles had a vacancy after letting 2018 wide receivers coach Gunter Brewer leave to join Louisville’s coaching staff.
Walch originally joined the Eagles last offseason. Prior to arriving in Philly, Walch was the offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. Here’s a look at snapshot of his résumé:
As previously noted, Walch overlapped with current Eagles offensive coordinator Mike Groh for two seasons when Groh was was Chicago’s wide receivers coach from 2013-2015.
