The Eagles released veteran offensive lineman Allen Barbre on Wednesday, a move that come one day before the first full-team practice and hours after offensive coordinator Frank Reich said Isaac Seumalo would enter training camp as the starting left guard.

Barbre, 33, has been with the Eagles since 2013 and started 29 games. He started all 28 games he played the past two seasons and was the team’s primary left guard. Even if Seumalo is the top left guard, Barbre could have fit as the top reserve guard/tackle because of his experience at both spots.
