The Eagles released defensive lineman Brandon Bair on Friday.
Bair, 31, spent the past three seasons with the Eagles, including the past two on the active roster. A former Oregon lineman, Bair was an ideal fit for the Eagles’ defensive scheme under Chip Kelly. He was less of a fit here. The Eagles saved $750,000 against the salary cap by releasing Bair.
In 21 games with the Eagles, Bair finished with 20 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and four passes defended. He also blocked a field goal and an extra point.
The Eagles are down to three former Oregon players on their roster: Josh Huff, Taylor Hart, and Kenjon Barner.
