The Eagles signed linebacker Steven Daniels again Wednesday, as the corresponding move to waiving defensive end Marcus Smith.
Daniels, 24, was released by the Eagles on June 1. He had been claimed on waivers one month earlier, so he spent two weeks of organized team activities in Philadelphia. Daniels was a 2016 seventh-round pick by the Washington Redskins out of Boston College and missed his rookie season because of a torn labrum.
The Eagles need depth at linebacker, and Daniels will compete with Najee Goode, Joe Walker, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Nate Gerry, and Don Cherry.
