Eagles re-sign linebacker Najee Goode

The Eagles signed linebacker Najee Goode to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

Goode, 26, provides value as a depth linebacker and special teams contributor. He was set to become a free agent next month.

Goode originally joined the Eagles in 2013, and even started that season when Mychal Kendricks was injured. A torn pectoral injury ruined his 2014 season after the season injury, and he did not make the original 53-man roster last September. But the team re-signed Goode later that month, and he resumed his role from 2013.

The West Virginia product was originally a fifth-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012.
