Eagles players react to Brent Celek’s retirement

Tight end Brent Celek will retire from the NFL having spent his entire 11-year career as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, and despite having the opportunity to play for another team in 2018, admitted the thought of playing in a different uniform didn’t feel right.

Celek was more than just another teammate, he was a leader in the locker room, a teacher to his position-mates, a team-first guy, and was a active member in the larger Philly community. He was drafted by Andy Reid, played under Chip Kelly, and won a Super Bowl under Doug Pederson.
