Nelson Agholor isn’t the only member of the Philadelphia Eagles to have a fifth-year option picked up this week.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports the Eagles have also picked up a fifth-year option in Super Bowl winnning head coach Doug Pederson’s contract.
Pederson’s original deal, signed back in 2016, was a four-year agreement. Now Pederson is signed through the 2020 NFL season.
Unlike player contracts, NFL coaching contracts do not count against a team’s salary cap. Teams can spend as much money as they want on their coaching staff.
