Eagles' Peters leaves with back spasms

CHARLOTTE - Eagles left tackle Jason Peters suffered back spasms in the first quarter against the Panthers. He needed to be carted off the field, and he did not return.

Peters collapsed while blocking and remained on his front side for a few minutes. The Eagles bench cleared, and players knelt around Peters in support.

The Eagles moved Matt Tobin from right guard to left tackle to replace Peters. Dennis Kelly entered the game in Tobin's spot at right guard. The Eagles used that same combination when Peters left the Washington game in Week 4 with a quadriceps injury.
