There was enough sloppiness for Chip Kelly to sort through when he watched the film of the Eagles' 26-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday. He could have spun a roulette wheel to find an area on which to focus his displeasure. Kelly was most vexed by the penalties, which is the first area he said he would address.
The Eagles committed 10 penalties and actually had 14 when factoring in those that were declined. One penalty nullified a turnover, and other penalties either hurt the Eagles' drives or extended the Falcons' drives.
"If you break that game down very simply, we look at it as a coaching staff, first and foremost the thing that jumps out is penalties," Kelly said.
