HAD THE officiating crew or the replay angles been a little sharper, the Eagles might have pulled a victory out of their . . . well, out of Jason Kelce's, um . . .

Of course, we're talking here about the pivotal play of the Detroit Lions' 24-23 victory Sunday over the visiting Eagles.

The Eagles think Ryan Mathews' fumble should have been a dead ball, because it touched Kelce, who had tried to fling himself upon the ball and was lying partly out of bounds, the ball rolling beneath him, then behind him, before the Detroit Lions recovered, setting up their game-winning field goal.
