Eagles owner stands by Kelly and Goodell

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie defended two of the NFL's most polarizing offseason figures on Friday: Chip Kelly and Roger Goodell.

Kelly and Goodell drew scrutiny during the last few months for entirely different reasons.

Kelly reshaped the Eagles' roster, and his methods came under attack by franchise greats LeSean McCoy and Tra Thomas, who suggested that the Eagles have a race issue.

Goodell's decision to suspend Tom Brady four games as part of the ball deflation scandal was overturned in federal court, continuing a string of off-field embarrassments for the league.

Lurie, who spoke to reporters for the first time since March, expressed his confidence in both men.
