Eagles open up some roster space by waiving three players

The Philadelphia Eagles waived cornerback Chandon Sullivan, linebacker Asantay Brown, and offensive guard Kaleb Johnson on Wednesday afternoon, according to an official announcement from the team.

None of these cuts are surprising. The Eagles are likely freeing up roster space to make room for their undrafted free agent signings in wake of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Eagles originally signed Sullivan and Brown as undrafted free agents around this time last year.

Sullivan flashed in the preseason and earned a spot on the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster due to numerous injuries at his position.
