Eagles' offense gets over Kelly firing nicely

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Some Eagles downplayed the smooth functioning of their offense Sunday, because to make a big deal of it would smack of passing the buck for the season's failures entirely to their fired coach.

But even the most ardent Chip Kelly holdout had to admit that Pat Shurmur's method of running Kelly's attack worked better than Kelly's way has in quite a while.

Yes, it was a meaningless Week 17 game against a really bad New York Giants defense. But did you see any Eagles false-start penalties? Was anyone in white and green flagged for illegal formation?
