Marcus Smith left practice Thursday with a right hamstring injury. He had an MRI exam scheduled for Friday to determine the severity.
Smith limped off the field with Eagles trainers, hopped into a cart, and was taxied inside.
The injured occurred during kick coverage drills. Defensive coordinator Bill Davis spoke to Smith before he left the field.
Smith, the Eagles' first-round pick in 2014, could become the third outside linebacker this season. That's a key reserve role in the defense. The position has been ravaged by injuries during this camp, with three outside linebackers already lost for the season: Travis Long, Brandon Hepburn, and Jordan Dewalt-Ondijo.
