Ed Werder reports that the Eagles are no loner engaged with QB Sam Bradford‘s representatives in an attempt to negotiate a short-term contract extension.
Previous reports had said that the Eagles were hoping to sign him to a short-term extension that would give them control of their quarterback beyond this season.
However, Bradford is in position to command a huge salary if he continues to play at a high level like he did during the preseason.
Bradford, 27, has yet to live up to his draft status and is coming off of back-to-back ACL tears, so there are some serious concerns/question marks about how he’ll hold up over the course of a full season.
